Anji & Phillip’s Wedding

When Melissa and I first met Anji and her mother Linda it was an instant click. They were fun, vibrant and full of excitement to plan the wedding. Anji was a dream bride come true. She knew her colors (pumpkin, chocolate & cream), had her direction. On that meeting, Anji told us
about her very special fiancée who is a Master Sergeant in the United States Army with close to 21 years of committed service. He at the time was stationed away and was waiting to arrive back home to be with Anji. We began with emails to Anji and(mom), with Phillip as a cc. He sounded so excited just on email; I felt such a warm sensation with him and had not even met him yet.

The planning began and before we knew if we were at Nov. 8th, the big day!!! Judy & I had the pleasure of working this wedding together. It was such a blessed day with a gorgeous outside ceremony. Often the ceremony goes a bit unnoticed and all attention is focused on the reception, but this ceremony was different. It included Phillip walking down the aisle spreading blue roses for Anji to walk on, two amazing singers, a beautiful runner, flowers, sand blending ceremony, fans for the ladies and of course the bride and groom. Carlos who is Anji’s brother and best friend was her “maid of honor”, Phillip had his sweet son PJ as his best man. After the ceremony ended it was time to get the party started. Guest entered the reception room with their seating card candles lighted up and placed them on the tables to add that romantic accent to the tables. The grand reception room filled with chocolate linens and pumpkin accents all over set the mood for the night, it was romantic and elegant. Anji and Phillip looked so happy, excited and ready to enjoy the night.

The wedding was so very special. It included everyone from parents, Phillips son PJ, Anji’s sorority sisters and sorority parents. It was a perfect gathering to a perfect day. Once the dancing started, it was pretty difficult to get Anji and Phillip off the dance floor. I really think they had a wonderful night, Anji was a dream bride to have and Phillip was such a great support as a groom which is what every bride needs.

Congratulations to the Reese’s, may God keep blessing you every step of the way and thank you for having Events On A Budget be part of that special day.
