Elizabeth & Derrick ~ Gables Wedding!

Elizabeth contacted me through a recommendation from one of her bridesmaids, who had booked our services for her wedding. Her friend was getting married in November and Elizabeth wanted a Spring wedding the following year. Meeting Elizabeth and Derrick was so wonderful! Right off the bat we totally hit it off, I mean they are just such sweet and down to earth people…how can you not?? Well the planning with Eli was a breeze! She knew what she wanted but was open to suggestions and our help to make her day wonderful.

Her wedding day came and it couldn't have been more perfect! Her ceremony was at St. Raymond and reception at Coral Gables Jr. Club. She looked stunning in her beautiful dress and Derrick looked quite handsome himself! When we did her trial she was so happy and we knew the minute she walked into her reception she was going to be even more elated. To our content, she was exactly that and so much more. They were both so wonderful and thankful for everything and kept mentioning during the night how wonderful their wedding was. Nothing can make a wedding planner, more filled with joy than those words. Her room looked beautiful with deep plum satin linens, silver chargers and lavender napkins. The silver chivari chairs & purple uplighting added the final touches to a modern, purple affair! The florals both high and low consisted of hydrangeas of different purple shades and hot pink roses for a pop of contrast color.

Our favorite part of the night had to be their 1st dance together! It was so romantic, sweet and intimate. They sang to each other and love filled their eyes…

Eli & Derrick: Thank you guys from the bottom of our hearts for choosing our company to help with this most magnificent day in your lives. We are honored and so happy to have shared in so much happiness and love on your wedding day. We wish you the absolute best and all the wonderful blessings God can bestow upon both of you! Liz & Arturo ~ Coral Gables Wedding!

Chic winter wedding with the classic pairing of, Tiffany blue and chocolate brown. This has to be one of my favorite color combinations, especially in such a romantic setting like the Coral Gables Jr. Woman’s Club. I would have to say, that just as perfect as their color pairing , is as perfect of a pair that Liz and Arturo are for one another. Since I met these too, they were always smiling and laughing together. A sure sign of many more laughs and good times to come! They were both very motivated on getting all details squared away and planning all the details for their wedding which was just a few months away. I met the happy couple in September and they would be saying “I do” in early December. During their exchanging of vows you could really feel the joy in the room not only from the couple but from all their guests, as well.

The cocktail hour and reception also took place in the Coral Gables Jr. Woman’s Club . The bride and groom took a few private moments during the cocktail hour to get some one on one time as the new Mr. & Mrs.’s. They managed to get back on time to share a couple drinks with their guests, which really put a head start on all the fun that was to come for the rest of the night.

The room was decorated absolutely beautiful with chocolate linens, Tiffany blue accents, and mahogany Chiavary chairs. Center pieces were elegant arrangements of hydrangeas and ivory roses surrounded by votives that gave the room a romantic glow. They also included a mini lounge area with Tiffany blue pillow's to make sure their guests were relaxing when they weren't on the dance floor. Dinner was delicious and guests really enjoyed all the wonderful fare but their guests were all about hitting the dance floor and staying there all night.

We’re so happy to have been part of such fun times and such great memories. We hope you continue giving so much happiness to those around you and continue laughing and smiling together for years to come!

Vanessa & Erick's Wedding

Last year on Sept. 12th I had the pleasure of planning Vanessa and Erick's wedding. The wedding ceremony was at St. Peter and Paul, the reception at Coral Gables Jr. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed Vanessa AND her mom! A few times she was called a "momzilla" but she was just wanted Vanessa's wedding day to be as PERFECT as possible. She called me one morning and told me she coudn't sleep all night thinking about the type of glassware the bar would have :0) We all had such a great time a short meeting turned to hours of talking about more than just the wedding. They are a wonderful family!!

One of my favorite parts of the wedding was the best man's speech. I have heard quite a few in my days but his I will never forget this one. The Best Man is a firefighter, just like his best pal Erick and he said that he was more than a friend to him but his brother and to show him just how much he trusted and loved him, he had chosen him to be the Godfather of his baby. That he knew, if anything ever happened to him he could trust Erick to be a father to his son.
I LOVE WEDDINGS! I love the emotions they evoke, the love they bring out and the closeness that is brought within family and friends. This was one of those weddings where you felt the love throughout....

The room looked amazing with the chocolate pintuck linens, ivory flowers and amber uplights!

Erick and Vanessa I wish you both a wonderful life together! May you always be as happy as you were on your wedding day... Thank you for letting me be part of it!

"Melissa,
You were a Godsend to us! We couldn't have been happier with the way our wedding turned out and know that it was because of your hard work. It was honestly the best day of our lives and we could not thank you enough! We recommend you to anyone we hear of that is getting married.
Vanessa"
