Diego & Colleen's Wedding

Hands down Colleen & her mother are the DIY Queens!!!! They did everything from the save the dates to the centerpieces, favors.... you name it, they did it. Wow, I was so impressed at all the wonderful décor. Sorry I got carried away…. on to the wedding now.

The wedding ceremony was at University Baptist & the reception at the beautiful Doral Golf & Spa resort. Colleen looked so beautiful & Diego looked very handsome. I love the fact that the first time they met was none other than at a friends wedding. Isn't that cool? He asked her to dance & it was history from there. My favorite part of the wedding was her brother's speech. It was truly heartfelt & he spoke so highly of his new brother in law, it really touched my heart!

Diego & Colleen: We wish you many more years of dancing together in love!

Here are a few pictures of the décor taken by me, of the wonderful DIY décor. You can see more pictures at the photographers website: http://bigfatknotblog.com/?p=223

MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Christmas is coming! So many countless blessings to be Thankful for throughout the year. I am Thankful for so many things & just wanted to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year.

Here is a beautiful story I would like to share from my Daily Bread book:

I read about a young couple whos business had failed, and they had little money to spend at Christmas. They were going to have to move out of their house after the new year. But they didn't want their holiday season to be spoiled because of it. So they decided to throw a party. When the guests arrived, they saw a cedar tree decorated with one string of lights and small rolled-up pieces of paper tied to the limbs of the ribbon.

"Welcome to our 'blessing tree'!" they said, beaming. "In spite of hard times, God has blessed us in so many ways that we decided to dedicate our tree to Him. Each piece of paper decribes a blessing He has given us this year"

The couple has faced more trials since then, but they have chosen to stay focused on the Lord. They often remark that the Christmas with the "blessing tree" was one of their most beautiful, because they could testify as Mary did: "My spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior…He who is mighty has done great things for me" (Luke 1:47-49)

Whatever your difficulties, they needn't spoil Christmas, for nothing can spoil Christ! Stay focused on Jesus and seek ways to share His blessings with others-perhaps through your own "blessing tree."

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILIES!

Augi & Melissa

Melissa & Augi are definitely one of the most creative couples I have ever met. They BOTH were involved in every detail of their wedding! Augi is a graphic designer & designed all the invitations, programs, favors and paper products himself. You can tell he put his heart into them as they came out so beautiful! The wedding ceremony & reception were at the beautiful Spanish Monastery. There are so many details that were unique & gave such a wonderful personalized touch to their wedding! One of my favorite decoration aspects was their unique sign in. It was a guitar that Augi’s mom gave to his dad. Years later Augi bought it from his dad to learn to play the guitar. It was no longer in good use, so guests signed on it their wishes for the couple. What a GREAT way to keep something so special as a memoir forever! My favorite part of the wedding was when Augi sang to Melissa while playing his guitar. Now isn’t that super romantic? They are one lucky couple to have each other & share an amazing love!

Melissa & Augi thank you so much for letting me witness such a marvelous day in your lives! May the Lord bless each & every day of your lives forever!!

Steve & Lili Wedding

Lili & Steve are one of the most laid back & care free couples I have had the pleasure of meeting. They are a creative couple who love music & especially each other. As unique as they are, they also wanted their wedding. They didn't want a buffett or sit down dinner but heavy passed hourduerves with a pasta station. The room was also decorated for this type of event with high cocktail tables & only a few guest tables. They really wanted their guests to concentrate on dancing & having a great time!

Unfortunatley, I have yet to receive pictures from the photographer but I have these to share of the beautiful set up at the Coral Gables Woman's Jr. Club.

Lili & Steve may your life together remain as wonderful as it was on your wedding day and may your love grow greater throughout the years!!!

Alex & Roxy Wedding

On the most famous date for wedding’s this year 7-7-07, I was very lucky to have a wedding in beautiful Key Largo, Florida. Roxy contacted me about 3 months before her wedding with nothing planned, except that she would really like to get married at her step father’s house in Key Largo. I was very excited about taking on this wedding especially after meeting her, her mother & grandmother. Three generations of wonderful ladies! The décor just tied into the feel of the location & the views were spectacular! My favorite part was when they left after the ceremony & surprised everyone by coming back on a boat. Melissa Perez (Simply Captivating) had the great idea to get on the boat with them & take pictures. What a great idea, because the pictures came out fabulous!

Thank you to http://www.simplycaptivating.com/ for sharing these beautiful pictures!

Roxy and Alex we wish you a life time of love and happiness!
