Alyssa & Jose ~ Coral Gables Wedding!

How do I start and even express myself about this wedding, which I was not only honored to be part of but also enjoyed whole heartedly! A few years ago, I had the amazing pleasure of marrying Vanessa & Erick which just happen to be Alyssa’s sister and Jose’s best friend. Fast forward a few years, Jose popped the question and now Erick and Jose are not only best friends but also family. Maritere the brides’ mom, was a very intricate part of the planning for both her girls and boy did we always have a blast at all our meetings!

In designing Alyssa’s wedding, she was first very laid back, calm and collected but a few weeks before the wedding she really got involved and turned up the pace. She chose some beautiful plum and eggplant tones, with some slight touches of burgundy for an amazing contrast. The ceremony was held at the beautiful St. Hugh Catholic Church and reception at the historic Douglas Entrance in Coral Gables. The linens were custom made triple pintuck, which looked so modern and elegant! We used mahogany chivari chairs and gold cushions and of course purple up lighting to give it the final amazing touch!

My favorite part of the night had to be when the bride/groom and entire bridal party used masks and fun giveaways to start their hora loca. It was so much fun and the crowd really loved that is was them who started festivities!

Alyssa & Jose: Thank you so very much for allowing me to part of yet another amazing family moment! Both you and your families are awesome and feel so blessed to know you!! May God bless your marriage FOREVER and continue sending you an abundance of blessings. Love you both!! Xoxoxo

Josephora & Richard ~ Brickell Wedding!

Josephora and Richard are an amazing couple! They totally balance each other off and it’s great when you see how well they complement each other. Josephora is a the attention to detail kind of girl and she is definitely awesome at being organized. Richard is more laid back and not as detailed as her but still helps and makes sure he is involved in everything.

When meeting them, we totally hit it off and not long after we came to find out, Richards cousin is a really good girlfriend of ours. Small world! We were delighted to have been hired and had an amazing time coordinating their wedding. Everything went amazing, the décor was beautiful and Melissa was able to capture all the amazing moments with her great eye for capturing these priceless photographs.

Their décor consisted of primarily a white palate, with gold as the complementing color and some subtle pops of purple. Extremely elegant!!! The amber up lighting just set the finishing ambience for their romantic look.

Our favorite part of the night had to be how much they danced! They didn’t even eat because they wanted to get the party started immediately… How much fun is that!!

Josephora & Richard: Thanks so much for letting us be part of such a special day in your lives! You and your families were so delightful to be with and we can only wish you a love that is everlasting and that God may continue to bless both of you always! Xoxox

From Mr. and Mrs: "Melissa is incredible! She ensured that my wedding day come out PERFECT! She thought of every last detail and was on top of everything! She listened to everything we wanted and made sure our vision for the wedding came to life. She even gave us milk and cake to take home for the wedding night =) If I have one recommendation for any bride to be, don't just hire a wedding planner, get Melissa! I wasn't sure I wanted a wedding planner in the beginning but as the wedding approached I realized that I needed someone to set up the little details, so I contacted Melissa. I cannot even begin to stay enough thanks to her! She went above and beyond all expectations for what I thought a wedding planner does! "

Annelise & Alejandro ~ Morningside Park Wedding

When you’re in a room with a couple and you can feel the love from across the room, you know its love. That was absolutely the case with these two love birds. Annelise and Alejandro are super down to earth and very much about keeping things simple but classy.

Annelise looked like a princess straight from a fairytale in her gown and Alejandro looked super sharp and handsome in his cream suit. The two are such a good looking pair it was impossible to snap a bad picture of them. Right before the ceremony began we had a little bit of bad weather. They do say its good luck for it to rain on your wedding day so I’ll thank the rain for the good times that followed.

Ceremony was just beautiful, the two exchanged their vows under a tree they had both chosen from 20 other trees in the area.. The tree was adorned with large white lanterns that gave it the perfect garden feel. After the I do’s were exchanged they went off and took some amazing pictures as the new Mr. & Mrs. Ochoa.

Guests were invited to join them for a cocktail reception which took place outdoors in a beautiful home near the park. Luckily, the weather cooperated with us and the evening was just gorgeous. People ate, danced and laughed all night and couldn’t stop congratulating the newlyweds. Their smiles never left their faces.

My favorite part of the night had to be when family members and the bride and groom took the mic. There were such beautiful words exchanged that it moved everyone in the room. Even staff members stopped for a second and had to wipe a few tears of joy away before serving more champagne to the guests. All in all a dream wedding, we were so happy to be part of it! J
