Raquel & Chad ~ Modern Chic Wedding!

Came across this beautiful pictures and can't believe we never blogged them! A beautiful couple inside and out! So blessed to have shared this very special day with them and their families. Their ceremony took place in the garden of St. Thomas Catholic Church and the reception Palmetto Bay Village Center.  Their decor consisted of mostly whites with simple pops of purple for a very modern and chic look.
Our favorite part of the evening had to be when Chad’s dad played a recording of Chad as a baby talking with his mom. The most cutest and sweetest thing we ever heard.  What a priceless moment!

Thank you Chad & Raquel for letting us be part of your day! We send you our most sincerest prayers and love for a blessed life! Xoxo

Thank you Elaine Palladino for sharing these amazing pics!!

From the Bride:
“Amidst my now-hubby being in medical school and me working full time and going to school full time as well, we got engagement and were planning our wedding…crazy right? I knew it was going to be busy and stressful but I still wanted to enjoy planning our wedding, so I knew we needed help. That help came in the form of the godsend knows as Events On A Budget- they were a complete life saver! We did the Wedding in a Box package and it worked out perfectly. With this package, you can name your budget, which aspects of the wedding you want included and which are more important to you (i.e. photographer, invitations, catering etc.) and they can recommend different tier vendors based on your wants/needs.  For me, this was crucial since I didn’t have time to research thousands of different vendors out there in South Florida. We told them what we wanted and they pretty much delivered it to us on a silver platter! Our big day went smoothly and we didn’t have to worry about a thing. They are very organized and reassuring but most importantly they truly care about their clients. Thank you, we couldn’t have done it without you! “

Cristina & Andy’s Beachy Beatles Wedding

“They” say its good luck for it to rain on your wedding day; it’s a sign of abundance and a long happy marriage. For this super cute and sweet couple we do believe what “they” say because without a doubt these two are destined to have an abundance of love and a very happy marriage.  This couple came to us from Orlando looking for help on their destination wedding.  We love working with couples who have a set vision in mind, makes putting all the pieces of their dream wedding together a lot easier. This was the case with our well organized bride and very supportive hubby to be.

Both Cristina and Andy are huge fans of the Beatles so it was a must for them to incorporate them into their wedding theme, which  we did! They blended their love for the Beatles, the beach and their beloved doggy, Oliver. They had Oliver as the ring bearer and selected a few Beatles songs as part of their ceremony.  For their ceremony they used beach décor to complement the water view but also to symbolize something that was very special to the bride and her family. The aisle was covered in a long bamboo runner and adorned with cream lanterns and white star fish, it was the perfect beach touch to the outdoor ceremony. The décor for the reception was a perfect mix of natural elements and the right amount of bling to mix things up. There were fresh willow branches adorned with teal orchids and hanging crystals which sat nicely on bamboo chargers and  matched so well with their gold chivari chairs. The teal favor boxes gave the tables a nice splash of color and complimented the up-lights perfectly.

After all the months spent planning, this couple really enjoyed themselves and really enjoyed the company of their family. The dancing and the smiling never stopped for this bride and groom, they never left the dance floor and it made for a real fun party. When so much goes into one day, you really have to make the best of it, like the Mr. & Mrs. did!!

It’s always a pleasure to work with our awesome brides and grooms, you two are no exception. Wishing you both all the very best and may your home always be filled with lots of love, hugs, laughs and kisses.

Buky & Akin ~ Nigerian/American Wedding!

It definitely has taken us a long time to blog about this wedding, but we knew that when writing about this wedding it would take us quite some time, so we kept pushing it off. We hope you find it was worth the wait! When we first met with Buky and Akin, they had this amazing energy about them. They are couple truly in sync. Buky was one of our brides that was last minute with everything, but she always knew exactly what she wanted. She was patient, sweet, fun and detailed. We remember how much her an Akin wanted a traditional American wedding with hints of their Nigerian culture. As we dove more and more into the planning it was hard to just incorporate a few Nigerian hints, so it really ended up with a great mix of 50%/50%. Buky was an out of town bride, so we did tons of our meetings back to back when they were in town, in order to finalize the majority of their details while they were here. This was our first Nigerian wedding and it was so memorable and fun! We truly enjoyed it. This is the wedding where we have received the most compliments ever. The guests were very vocal and thankful, which was so appreciated. Buky and Akin knew what they wanted and we did our best to execute everything to their hearts content. Think the biggest challenge for us was timing. They have so many beautiful rituals that can really take a long time. It was definitely our priority to ensure that things went as planned because if we skipped a beat, they could end up without any time for dancing. Fortunately, we stayed on tracked and it was great to see them dance and have a great time..

We can’t begin to cover every single event that took place, but hopefully we are able to capture just a glimpse of their amazing night! Their beautiful ceremony was set outside at Palmetto Bay. Many guests came in their traditional gowns and it was so gorgeous to see splashes of color everywhere. After they were announced man and wife, they happily walked down the hand-made aisle runner Buky had done herself. Their colors Fuchsia and Orange, were incorporated in every detail. Buky and her family represented Fuchsia, while Akin and his family Orange. Their families were told to dress accordingly to show their love and support.

The reception area was set up with beautiful orange pin tuck linen’s and were surrounded with gold accents. The floral's a combination of both the orange and fuchsia tied everything together. There were so many favorites for our in this wedding: a special danced performed by one of the guests, speeches by different family members, a Nigerian MC or known as (Olopa Ijoko) to narrate the events, traditional money dances and a live traditional band that played in different sets, along with Vision DJ’s. The dancing was NON-STOP and their guests were having a blast. The food served was a combination of American with traditional Nigerian favorites. The couple had a total of 3 outfit changes, each one different in its own way. First it was the traditional white wedding gown, following were the more traditional gowns. We were in aww of how beautiful Buky looked each time and how of course how handsome Akin looked as well. His smile was from ear to ear all night long. {{LOVE}} One of the other interesting points of the night is how it is tradition that guests bring about 100-150 gifts to pass out to other guests. It is done out of happiness for the couple and in many way represented the couple by having their names on it. It was definitely a night we will never forget. In speaking with her, they recently celebrated their 1 year anniversary with family and a beautiful yellow themed party!!

Buky & Atkin: We loved having the honor of being part of this wedding. Everything turned our perfect and all your traditions we will remember always. It was so apparent how important family, culture and tradition is to these families and they did a beautiful job incorporating them all. I’m happy that Buky is still in touch with us!! God is watching over you guys every day and we wish you blessing after blessing Thank you to Buky & Akin for allowing us the pleasure of being part of the biggest day in your lives so far…

From the Bride & Groom: “Events on a budget planned our wedding from start to finish. They were extremely professional and knew exactly what they were doing. We live in Atlanta but got married in South Florida. Events On A Budget managed the distance and transition with incredible ease. Our wedding wouldn't have been the perfect day if not for Events On A Budget. If we were getting married again today, we wouldn't change a single thing! “
