Paine with ALL the Colors

Just in case it wasn’t obvious enough, us gals over here at EOAB are obsessed with color! Persian rose LOVE ultramarine LOVE lemon chiffon LOVE! And the pretty recent trend of “off-kilter” pairings has quickly become one of your most fun past times. Gone are the days of all pink and white or light blue weddings and are we ever grateful for that! We acknowledge that at the epitome of all our planning we are all just trying to create a day that expresses us as a couple. And showing your personalities through color is a really smart way to do that. There’s such true excitement in creating unexpected combinations like causally cool mint with blush or dressed up navy with a pop of orange. UGH love it! We challenge you to be brave, adventurous couples that use emerald in July and pair lavender with mustard! Here are a few of our favorite unexpected pairings. Let us know what yours are, we’re always looking for new inspiration

Ebonee & Chris’ Miami Destination Wedding

When it comes to planning a wedding from another state, it is always challenging for a bride and groom.  We are so fortunate to get a lot of destination weddings and think we have become quite the experts at easing along the challenging process for our couples. Ebonee had to plan her destination wedding from Maryland and didn't have many opportunities to come down to Miami and do the planning little by little like most couples do. This amazing couple took care of their planning like champs!  We had to knock out all of their meetings in just two days. We all worked together as a team, on all the other details via e-mail or phone which was a great way to get to know each other before the big day.

The wedding turned out beautiful and the color combinations used at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden looked timeless. We went with chocolate pintuck linens for all tables and brought a nice pop of color using vibrant orange napkins over elegant gold chargers to match the center pieces. The centerpieces consisted of  two different tones of orange roses, mango callas and a nice lush base of cream hydrangeas. The room had a nice romantic glow from the amber up-lighting, which looked amazing on the white draping which wrapped the beautiful space.

This couple was an absolute delight to work with and was great to see them enjoy their big day to the fullest. We hope to help more couples have their dream weddings in S. Florida and be part of such an amazing day for them!

Wishing our fabulous bride and groom a blissful marriage and may they come back to celebrate an anniversary or two with us.!!

Buky & Akin ~ Nigerian/American Wedding!

It definitely has taken us a long time to blog about this wedding, but we knew that when writing about this wedding it would take us quite some time, so we kept pushing it off. We hope you find it was worth the wait! When we first met with Buky and Akin, they had this amazing energy about them. They are couple truly in sync. Buky was one of our brides that was last minute with everything, but she always knew exactly what she wanted. She was patient, sweet, fun and detailed. We remember how much her an Akin wanted a traditional American wedding with hints of their Nigerian culture. As we dove more and more into the planning it was hard to just incorporate a few Nigerian hints, so it really ended up with a great mix of 50%/50%. Buky was an out of town bride, so we did tons of our meetings back to back when they were in town, in order to finalize the majority of their details while they were here. This was our first Nigerian wedding and it was so memorable and fun! We truly enjoyed it. This is the wedding where we have received the most compliments ever. The guests were very vocal and thankful, which was so appreciated. Buky and Akin knew what they wanted and we did our best to execute everything to their hearts content. Think the biggest challenge for us was timing. They have so many beautiful rituals that can really take a long time. It was definitely our priority to ensure that things went as planned because if we skipped a beat, they could end up without any time for dancing. Fortunately, we stayed on tracked and it was great to see them dance and have a great time..

We can’t begin to cover every single event that took place, but hopefully we are able to capture just a glimpse of their amazing night! Their beautiful ceremony was set outside at Palmetto Bay. Many guests came in their traditional gowns and it was so gorgeous to see splashes of color everywhere. After they were announced man and wife, they happily walked down the hand-made aisle runner Buky had done herself. Their colors Fuchsia and Orange, were incorporated in every detail. Buky and her family represented Fuchsia, while Akin and his family Orange. Their families were told to dress accordingly to show their love and support.

The reception area was set up with beautiful orange pin tuck linen’s and were surrounded with gold accents. The floral's a combination of both the orange and fuchsia tied everything together. There were so many favorites for our in this wedding: a special danced performed by one of the guests, speeches by different family members, a Nigerian MC or known as (Olopa Ijoko) to narrate the events, traditional money dances and a live traditional band that played in different sets, along with Vision DJ’s. The dancing was NON-STOP and their guests were having a blast. The food served was a combination of American with traditional Nigerian favorites. The couple had a total of 3 outfit changes, each one different in its own way. First it was the traditional white wedding gown, following were the more traditional gowns. We were in aww of how beautiful Buky looked each time and how of course how handsome Akin looked as well. His smile was from ear to ear all night long. {{LOVE}} One of the other interesting points of the night is how it is tradition that guests bring about 100-150 gifts to pass out to other guests. It is done out of happiness for the couple and in many way represented the couple by having their names on it. It was definitely a night we will never forget. In speaking with her, they recently celebrated their 1 year anniversary with family and a beautiful yellow themed party!!

Buky & Atkin: We loved having the honor of being part of this wedding. Everything turned our perfect and all your traditions we will remember always. It was so apparent how important family, culture and tradition is to these families and they did a beautiful job incorporating them all. I’m happy that Buky is still in touch with us!! God is watching over you guys every day and we wish you blessing after blessing Thank you to Buky & Akin for allowing us the pleasure of being part of the biggest day in your lives so far…

From the Bride & Groom: “Events on a budget planned our wedding from start to finish. They were extremely professional and knew exactly what they were doing. We live in Atlanta but got married in South Florida. Events On A Budget managed the distance and transition with incredible ease. Our wedding wouldn't have been the perfect day if not for Events On A Budget. If we were getting married again today, we wouldn't change a single thing! “

Gina & Jeff ~ Ancient Spanish Monastery Wedding

Gina and Jeff were an absolute joy to work with; they were so much fun during all the planning we couldn't wait till their big day. They were so easy going and their main priority was to make sure the party was fun. They decided on The Ancient Spanish Monastery after a visit they had when they both fell in love with the space. They wanted the look for their wedding day to be romantic and in an outdoor setting and that’s exactly what they got. The ceremony took place in the old chapel inside of the Monastery which is so charming and perfect for the amount of guests they were expecting. After the ceremony the cocktail hour took place in the ancient halls of the Monastery where guests took pictures and enjoyed cocktails while   hors d’oeuvres were being passed.

The tables for the reception were dressed in beautiful silver linens with matching silver chivary chairs. The accent color for the evening was a nice burnt red which was found on the cushions, napkins and stunning center pieces. The center pieces were tall and full of color, everyone loved them! Red up-lighting made the space look extra romantic and very inviting.

During the reception the bride and groom had a photo booth for their guests to have some fun with and they all sure did! Once the party started it was hard to get people back in their seats to enjoy a slice of cake or even a drink of water. This family was here to dance and they weren’t stopping for anything or anyone. Some rain tried to slow down the party but even that couldn’t stop them. The bride and groom were the first to get on the dance floor and the last ones to leave it. That’s how we like to see our couples enjoy their day

It was so beautiful to see how much Gina and Jeff love each other it was all love from start to finish of this whole planning process. It makes us so happy to be part of a beautiful union like the one they made.

We want to wish them all the joy, love and happiness in the world for many years to come!
